Parish Coffee and Meals
From Orthodox Parish of St Nicholas
Parish Coffee after the Divine Liturgy
A bring-and-share breakfast or coffee follow all Sunday celebrations of the Divine Liturgy. These also take place in St Giles' Church Hall. All are warmly invited to join fellow parishioners and friends for refreshments following these services. If you would like to assist with setting out the coffee once per month, or otherwise help, please see one of the people serving coffee after any service to volunteer.
Monthly Parish Lunches
Next meal: Sunday, 13th April, 2008
Please note that we will also hold a small reception with refreshments on Sunday 30th March in honour of Bishop Elisey who will be visiting our parish that day (see our Forthcoming Events Page for further details).
Once a month, the parish has a bring-and-share buffet lunch following the Divine Liturgy. Everyone is welcome to stay to enjoy conversation and fellowship over lunch, while the children can watch a family video which is played in the adjacent room. The parish lunch takes place following the service on the second Sunday of each month, and parishioners are invited to bring food items (salads, main dishes, desserts) to the Hall for this meal. If you would like to find out more about what is needed for these meals, please contact the meal coordinators, Maeve Henry and Kathryn Los. Volunteers are always needed to provide small dishes for the meal, as well as to assist with laying the table and cleaning up.
