Weekly Parish Bulletin
From Orthodox Parish of St Nicholas
If you didn't collect a copy of our weekly bulletin at the Divine Liturgy last weekend, please feel free to download a copy in Microsoft Word document format here - simply print the two pages back-to-back and fold.
The weekly bulletin contains the scripture readings for the Sunday, a reflection on the themes of the week or spiritual texts relevant to feasts of the coming week, a schedule of services and events for the coming week, announcements and other items of interest.
Weekly bulletins:
From March 2008, the weekly bulletin was replaced by a monthly Parish newsletter, The Wayfarer

A note on congregational singing:
Part of the reason the troparia and kontakia are provided in these bulletins is to encourage members of the congregation to join the choir in singing these main hymns of the day, together with other portions of the services with which they are familiar (the litanies, antiphons, trisagion, etc.). You are encouraged to collect a copy of the weekly bulletin on your way in to the Liturgy, rather than at the end of the service, so you have the texts to hand while they are sung during the service. Please do not feel that you must stand with the choir in order to sing - however, new members are always welcome in the choir; please simply present yourself at the kliros. See more about the choir in our music pages.
You can also download the regular hymns of our parish (in honour of St Nicholas), as well as the usual Sunday troparia and kontakia of the Resurrection in all the Eight Tones.
