His Eminence Archbishop Elisey of Sourozh will consecrate the new Russian Orthodox Church of St Nicholas the Wonderworker, Marston, Oxford.
Formerly an Anglican Mission Church built in 1913 and dedicated to St Nicholas, the building had remained empty for over forty years and had become derelict. Through the efforts of parishioners, friends and benefectors, the church was purchased and extensive renovations carried out to provide a new home to St Nicholas Orthodox Parish in Oxford.
